NEW COLLABORATION
Happy spring break!
It’s been a while since our last update, and our team has been working on coming up with a new project for the Children’s Hospital. Currently, though, we are collaborating with another organization to create a scrapbook about Calgary/Canada to send to a school in Africa. We thought this would bring our cause and our mission to the international community. What are some of your ideas for the scrapbook? What do you think makes Calgary and Canada awesome? (Besides the snow storms at the end of March, of course!)

This is what we had received from the Alberta Children’s Hospital. We thank them for making our cause so worthwhile, and for Youth Central‘s support. Our team had such a great time making craft kits and colouring books, as well as painting iPhone cases for fundraising – knowing that these resources will be put into great use at the hospital. Most of all, thank you to everyone who contributed their time and effort. We look forward to bringing the Calgary community more creativity in 2013!

DELIVERY OF CRAFT KITS & COLOURING PAGES

The CIA team has dropped off craft kits and colouring books at the Alberta Children’s Hospital today. It was a special moment knowing they will be put into great use by the art therapist at the hospital. A massive thank-you from the team to all those who contributed to our cause. This project has meant a lot to us as students, and we are confident that those recovering at the hospital will be extremely grateful for them as well.

Our members were working hard today to finish assembling all our craft kits (felt photo frames and paper stars) and all our colouring books. Looking forward to delivering them to the hospital tomorrow! Happy holidays!
